Employment Visas

Temporary Work Visas

If you wish to work in the US on a short-term basis, there are various categories of temporary visas you can choose from. These nonimmigrant work visas are issued for a limited period but are often renewable, subject to a maximum allowed stay. If you reach this limit, you must leave the US unless you obtain another valid status. Temporary work visa applicants usually need a job offer from a US employer who will sponsor their petition.
